This page explains the personal data Sotira Society handles, how long it stays, and what you can require of us.

The details we take

• Delivery details — name, full address, email, phone
• Order history, so we can answer questions about past purchases
• Server-side logs covering IP address, browser, device and pages viewed

Card and banking details are not part of this at all . UPI runs in your bank’s app and cash is handed to the courier; neither route sends us anything of that kind.

Why we use it

To pack and deliver your order, answer your messages, handle returns and refunds, and keep the records Indian tax and consumer law requires . No advertising profiles are built and nothing is sold on.

Who your details reach

The courier delivering your parcel, plus our hosting and email providers — nobody else . Each acts on our instructions only. Disclosure to authorities happens only under legal obligation.

We do not ask for, and do not want, any prescription or eyesight information. Nothing of that kind is collected at checkout.

Retention

We retain orders and invoices for the period the law sets . Enquiries that led nowhere are deleted after closure; we keep nothing ‘just in case’.

Cookies and the basket

Cookies here do two jobs: hold your basket and session, and count page use — you can block them in your browser, though the basket and checkout will not work if you do.

Your address is not added to any mailing list . Order updates are the whole of it.

Your rights

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 (IT Act 2000) give you the right to see the personal data we hold, to have it corrected, and to have it erased where no law obliges us to keep it Send the request to our Grievance Officer at the address below; we respond within a reasonable period.

It is a role, filled from our own team, and every complaint is acknowledged and answered.

How we protect it

The site runs over HTTPS and access to order records is limited to the people who fulfil orders . We would notify you and the regulator if a breach ever reached your data.
